Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Prior to working in private practice, Sandy Murray worked in the school system for 15 years. She is an expert in social emotional learning for children ranging from age three through twenty-one. Working with all students in a school setting has led to an extensive background in typical developing children/teens as well as those with special needs. Much of Sandy’s experience has been teaching coping and friendship skills, behavioral issues, ADHD, anger management, depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, grief, self-esteem, LGBTQ+, and other concerns that may impact a child.
In addition to working with children/teens, Sandy has experience working with parents and families. Utilizing a team approach, cognitive behavioral therapy tends to be the most used technique during therapy sessions. Working directly with a client, parents (if applicable), and other professionals (school & health) is her approach to helping clients meet their individual goals. Looking at all aspects of you as a whole person will help you progress.
