Molly strives to be an authentic, compassionate, open clinician who welcomes clients and makes them feel comfortable in a therapeutic environment whether it is their first time in a counseling office or a continuation of their previous healing path. She utilizes the most effective therapeutic methods to lead her clients to live a more productive, contented life and to increase their ability to be in relationships with others in a healthy and loving manner. Her ability to connect with her clients quickly and easily is of utmost importance to her and a skill of which she is most proud.
Molly specializes in working with clients who suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, anxiety and other mood disorders. She also enjoys working with clients in the LGBTQIA+ community. Her training in evidence-based, highly effective therapeutic treatment approaches to trauma such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and ego state therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allow her clients to heal and obtain skills to function more effectively. She is client-centered, moving at a pace at which they are most comfortable. Molly earned a master’s of science in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Memphis and two bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in journalism and political science. Her previous careers were as a newspaper reporter in Los Angeles, New York and Memphis and as a communications specialist in public relations. She is an EMDR-trained clinician, a member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
