Jessica Martin

P-LPC
Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor

Jessica graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2018 and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling in 2021.

Beginning her journey as her mental health professional 17 years ago in Nebraska, Jessica worked specifically with juveniles having dual diagnosis concerns. Moving to the greater Memphis area in 2015, she began working with adults in community corrections while earning her master’s degree.
Throughout her internship, she continued to focus on her work as an advocate for community corrections and restorative justice.

Her empathic nature coupled with her authority as a probation officer positioned her to effectively employ interventional therapies such as cognitive behavior therapy and motivational interviewing, with a goal of aiding in societal reintegration, personal restoration, as well as preventing client advancement into the criminal justice system.

Jessica is trained in Moral Reconation Therapy and has facilitated these CBT groups for the past 11 years. During this time, she has worked extensively with people who struggle with substance abuse, domestic violence, and other forms of trauma. Her clientele also includes those desiring couples therapy, whom she aids with a special focus on attachment styles and love languages.

Jessica utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, portions of Gestalt Therapy, and additional modalities to help people navigate the issues they are struggling with.

“I believe building a foundation of mutual respect and trust between therapist and client is the most important aspect of the journey of healing.”

Jessica currently accepts Aetna and Cigna insurance.
