Carrie is currently accepting new clients that are available for tele-counseling ONLY and able to attend sessions between 9am–4pm M–Th. She is currently accepting clients that are covered under BC/BS PPO insurance or private pay. She can be reached directly at 708-448-7848.
Carrie is an innovative therapist and development coach that employs innovative and efficacious forms of psychotherapy treatments to ensure that her clients achieve optimal well-being. She possesses a multifaceted holistic approach to allow each individual to achieve their therapeutic, professional and personal goals. Her mission is to lead people towards their ideal self within a respectful and compassionate therapeutic relationship.
With more than 17 years of clinical experience in community mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice, Carrie can provide you and your family with a wealth of experience and perspective. In 2004, she founded the Hope Enrichment Center with the mission to guide people towards their highest potential and health in order to promote a positive impact on the world. She has spoken around the country on the topics of mindfulness, EMDR, and the treatment of anxiety disorders and trauma. Ms. Cherep has also acted as adjunct faculty at Lewis University and Triton College in the area of psychology.
Carrie is dedicated to the art of well-balanced psychotherapy. She is a certified EMDR clinician and consultant with over 10 years of experience with EMDR Therapy. She is an active member of the ACA, APA, ICA, EMDRIA, IMHCA, and is a Gottman trained couples clinician. She is currently a member of the EMDRIA board, involved with the Chicago EMDRIA regional group, and speaks frequently for the Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association (IMHCA) annual conferences as well as PESI, Inc.
